Job Description:

This position supervises and develops batch and real -time data pipelines utilizing various data analytics processing frameworks. This position assists in the integration of data from various data sources, both internal and external. You will be performing data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) data conversions. Facilitating data cleansing and enrichment, as well as performing full systems life cycle management activities, such as analysis, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software is required. This position assists in synthesizing various data sources to create reusable and reproducible data assets, as well as analyze and performance tune existing load process.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrated proficiency in JCL, COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, MQ, Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL, Python and GCP
• In-depth experience in creating Linux scripts to call Oracle tools like SqlPlus, SqlLoader and PL/SQL packages and stored procedures
• Proficiency in writing Python Scripts and knowledge of available Libraries
• Proven ability to research new Libraries and bring it up to UPS standards
• Ability to work with GCP – Cloud Storage and Big Query along with SDK
• Demonstrated awareness of Data Warehouse concepts (Star Schema) and methodologies
• Ability to perform production support for ETL processing in DIR
• Experience with different types of feed (XML, JSON, etc.)
• Familiarity with Data Visualization tools is preferred
• Experience working within Agile Frameworks
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience; Master’s degree preferred
