Job Description:

Overview:

The HR Data Science Analyst implements advanced analytics models and solutions to yield predictive and prescriptive insights from data. He/She works with a team responsible to research and implement advanced analytic models. This position leverages industry standard machine learning and data visualization tools to transform data and analytics requirements into predictive solutions. The HR Data Science Analyst builds and runs models designed to solve business problems.

The person who will be successful in this role has excellent problem-solving skills combined with a passion to take initiative along with exceptional professional communication skills (oral and written). Additionally, you thrive in a fast-paced team environment where multi-tasking and staying organized is essential. You are comfortable handling confidential information and using your well-developed technical and time management skills. This role is collaborative, creative, and your true passion for getting results will bring opportunities for success in an excellent organization.

Job Responsibilities:

· Develops data features that will serve as inputs to AI/Machine Learning techniques.

· Works with team to select and implement model development process from statistics and machine learning to answer business problems.

· Writes code using SQL and R/Python to collect and manipulate data from multiple data sources both internal and external.

· Explores data to determine correlation of data to domain classification or regression problem.

· Build and maintain relationships with HR and business users to assist them with using and understanding existing and newly created analysis.

· Assists with the development of procedures to monitor model and production system performance/integrity.

· Helps to identify opportunities to move from predictive to prescriptive analytics to turn data more quickly into results that support data-driven decisions.

· Develops analytical reports and represents large, complex sets of data and associated solutions to support business objectives.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) field required.

· Master’s degree preferred.

· Experience working with HR organizations and has moderate understanding of fundamental HR practices preferred.

· Discipline to work with highly confidential information.

· Ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.

· High degree of initiative and timeliness in delivering work output

· Proven record of accomplishment prioritizing and handling multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced and challenging environment

· Experience with HCM systems, Workday, Fountain, etc. preferred.

· Coding skills in R or Python

· AI/ML skills in some combination of areas such as: time series analysis, regression (linear & logistic), clustering (hierarchical and/or k-means), natural language processing (text mining, sentiment analysis), machine learning algorithm development (neural networks, random forest, etc.), statistical testing, and/or advanced visualizations
